Fabius Bile themed list for CSM

Photobucket

Hi,

as an attempt to make the traditional dual lash 9 obli list a little more fun, I came up with this list. It's 1750. pushing forward 5 rhinos full of 35 drug-crazed marines that are selfdestructing is great fun! It is spammy, but then again I am taking a codex that already needs spam to work, and taking a special character whose abilities only work to one squad type. Do you guys this list is still semi-competitive?

Fabius Bile @ 160pts.

Sorceror with mark of slaanesh, lash of submission @ 125pts.

7 Enhanced Chaos Space Marines with meltagun, aspiring champion with power weapon and combi-melta @ 170pts.
Rhino @ 35pts.

  1. I like the idea of Bile marines, have played with lists before, may try again someday. Good luck with this one. I'd experiment with dropping one squad or the sorcerer to get points for icons - getting the enhanced marines I5 or extra attacks could be better than another unit sometimes.

  2. @sonsoftaurus: Thx. I've been thinking about icons too, and the sorceror would probably be the first to go, but the utility lash is a nice tool, since these chaos marines only have a 12 inch threat range.

I tried this list against mech BA today. He had 2 libby dreads and a rifleman, which certainly are the worst nightmare for this list. I've been thinking of possibly giving fists, so that I stand a chance, but I found the obliterators and meltas were mostly enough. I ended up winning that game although I was truly unimpressed by the offensive cababilities of Fabius. He can tarpit basic troops that don't have armour ignoring weaponry, but otherwise he is pretty useless. The enhanced marines on the other hand were awesome. The str5 power weapons were great, and it was great to play an army that was completely fearless, I'm used to sensitive templars and the very cowardly tau, so not caring about morale was a relief.

I'll certainly try some other builds, but I'm really liking the way this list mixes fun and semi-competitive.
