Orky Update

Hi guys,

Progress on my Orks! I opted to go with a battlewagon list in the end. Above is one of the converted Battlewagons. I'm really going with a militaristic feel with the army. I also got 2 games in with the army on Saturday. I played Grey Knights. First game I lost 11-9 (one moving BW on top of turn 2) in killpoints. Second game I learned from my mistakes and won on objectives.

Novamarines take to a tournament...

Hi guys,

So I took my Novamarines army to their first tournament. It was pretty fun. 5 games, 2 wins, a draw and 2 losses is not that great, but I admit to having screwed up in some games. Overall I placed 13 out of 29 and got 5 great games in.

The list I took:

Captain with relic blade, storm shield, bike, artificier armour @ 195pts.

Dreadnought with 2x twin-linked autocannons @ 125pts.

Different approach to a Necron Wraithwing @ 1750pts.

So, something a little different. I'm gonna try this list at a tournament this weekend, so we'll actually see how it works. I'm worried about killpoints, but other then that, 11 MCs and 9 wraiths is nothing to frown at. Tomb spyders are actually surprisingly resilient with their scarab swarm meatshield, so they'll clot up the midfield meanwhile the wraiths hopefully cause havoc.

There is a variant, in which I drop 3 spyders and take another 5-man immortal squad for more suppression fire, but I feel the spyders are worth it if you have the slot free.

Thoughts? We'll see after the weekend how bad a beating I take :D .
